Bane Park is named for William “Bill” Bane Sr., an active member of the Fairbanks community. Bane generously donated the land to Harris County to build a park and library. The 18.2-acre facility provides beautiful spots to relax in nature and spend time with family or get active, including two lighted ball fields, a five-acre wheelchair-accessible fishing lake, paved walking trail, playground, splash pad, and picnic areas.
